Anyone having luck getting this to run?

Specific questions:
1) Is this a standalone app? (I know it's a mod; can we run it without having the original installed).
2) Are any special Wineskin configurations required?

I tried launching it; it came up and then disappeared. I then tried changing to "Force use of system installed XQuartz", but nothing improved.

Would appreciate any help!
This stand alone application does not require an oreginal file.
Try to install again, add the game to the trusted zone of your firewall, defender or delete firewall, defender...
Thanks for the advice. Changing firewall settings (adding to trusted zone or disabling the firewall) has no effect; the game still won't launch.

Any other advice?
On a related note, "Defender" is a Windows app, not relevant to Mac. But manipulating the MacOS Firewall preferences has no effect, whether or not I re-installed the game.
Thanks a lot BEST_UA!

Working well on this:

iMac: 21.5-inch, Late 2012
OS: OS X 10.9.5 (13F34) Mavericks
Processor: 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory: 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M 512 MB
I forgot to mention:

I also have installed (by pure coincidence way before downloading this game) the "WineBottler Combo package" from winebottler.kronenberg.org
I have NO idea if this has ANY impact on the game working or not, but it would be wrong of me not to mention it, just in case.
:)
I appreciate the additional advice from Chibizoid, but I already had Wine and WineBottler installed, so that wasn't what made the difference.

Anyone had any luck installing on Sierra?
No luck on macOS here. I get 'failed to activate X11'. I've been playing around with Wineskin but I'm not too familiar with it. Help!
